Fechner Day - an international date dedicated to the German philosopher, physicist and psychologist Gustav Fechner, who is credited with one of the fundamental roles in the development of psychophysics, the study of the relationship between physical stimuli and sensations. Fechner is said to have founded psychophysics on October 22, 1850.
