6 November - Arbor Day in Republic of Congo
In 1986, November 6 was decreed as an annual national holiday in Congo Brazzaville and celebrated as "Arbor Day".
On this occasion, all the inhabitants of the country are invited to plant at least one tree to mark the event.
Over the years, this day has established itself as a national event during which government officials support the initiative with larger-scale actions far beyond the symbolic planting of a single tree. Through these actions, the Congo constantly makes an important contribution to the preservation of the world's tree population and to the active protection of our ecosystem.
In this perspective and to support the initiative of the Minister of Forests, the Inros Lackner team planted on November 6, 2019, around 70 trees on the grounds of the new Denis Sassou Nguesso University in Kintélé, Brazzaville.
