Every April 14th is celebrated in the American Continent the Panamericanism Day, in order to highlight the ideals of peace and brotherhood that should exist between the nations of America in the search for closer relations, coordinating actions and activities together, through cooperation and fraternity seeking to enhance in union the American Continent.
Since the beginning of the First Republic, the Pan-American idea was always present in Venezuela in the thoughts of our Liberators, among them Francisco de Miranda and Simón Bolívar, who promoted the union between the countries of the South, including Panama. The very National Anthem of Venezuela sends a message in one of its verses: "United with ties that the sky formed, America exists as a Nation...".
In the year 1826 a call was made at the Congress of Panama, giving rise to the idea of Panamericanism of Simon Bolivar, who tried to create an association in the Congress of American countries to strengthen historical and natural ties. Later, in 1930, this day began to be celebrated by presidential decree.
