17 September - National Huaso Day in Chile
September 17 is celebrated throughout the country the Day of the Huaso and Chilenidad (Día del Huaso y la Chilenidad), date established by law in 2010, and of course has an extensive program to celebrate it in the Week of Chilenidad in the Padre Hurtado Park.
In fact, it coincides with the Opening Gala of the event organized by the Federación Criadores de Caballos Raza Chilena and the Municipalities of Las Condes, Vitacura and La Reina.
In the Esplanade, along with the ribbon cutting by the authorities of this festival of national traditions, there will be the presentation of the Equestrian Squads and the great concert.
But that's not all, because there will be intense activity throughout the day with stable attractions such as craft stands, the Farm and the Circus Parade as well as important numbers on the Esplanade.
And as there is no Chile without the National Dance, the Patio de la Cueca offers a line-up with the groups Así es la Cosa, Los Chalailas, Separa3, Cecilia Campos y Arrebolera, Santa Rosa de Apoquindo and La Quinta Collera.
All together with the succulent typical gastronomic offer to celebrate the Day of the Huaso and the Chileanidad in the biggest event of the Fiestas Patrias.
