National Coffee Day in Germany

Coffee is one of the most popular beverages in this country. But the aromatic beverage is also appreciated in other countries. A special campaign day is dedicated to the hot beverage both nationally and internationally.

In Germany, Coffee Day was proclaimed by the German Coffee Association in 2006. Since then, it has been celebrated annually on the first Saturday in September. Japan has been celebrating the brown beans since 1983, and more and more countries have since dedicated their own day of action to the hot beverage. Since 2005, the USA has known National Coffee Day, which was later renamed International Coffee Day. This day falls on September 29, when many other countries around the world also celebrate with caffeine.

Celebrated not only by drinking coffee, but with numerous actions and exhibitions. For example, people can take part in coffee seminars, witness the roasting process, visit factories and obtain information on the history and culture of coffee in exhibitions. The coffee day offers the opportunity to taste a wide variety of preparations and to experience unusual uses, such as coffee as a wellness product during a coffee massage. The patronage for the action day is taken over every year by a coffee drinker from public life.
