Apple trees take 4-5 years to produce their first fruit. A standard size apple tree starts bearing fruit 8-10 years after it is planted. A dwarf tree starts bearing fruit in 3-5 years. Apples will ripen six to ten times faster at room temperature than if they were refrigerated.
There are more than 8,000 varieties of apples the largest variety of fruit to exist. Apple are one of the most widely grown tree fruit.
Apple Tree Day began as a celebration of an old apple tree, dating back two centuries! As time passed, this day turned into a celebration day by itself. On this day, we are all encouraged to learn more about apples and the importance of them in our meals.
