International Tug-of-War Day
International Tug-of-War Day is held on February 19. Dropped from the Olympic Games in 1920, Tug of War still remains a Worldwide sport and many nations have their own governing bodies. This event in the second decade of the month february is annual.
Tug of war is a sport that pits two teams against each other in a test of strength.
The origins of tug of war are uncertain, but this sport was practised in Cambodia, ancient Egypt, Greece, India and China.
