May Week (also known as National PE & Sport Week) is a celebration of the importance of physical education and health education, in addition to kicking off National Physical Fitness and Sports Month.
National Physical Education and Sports Week, observed in May and sponsored by SHAPE America, invokes a call to action to recognize the value and importance of having physical activity and physical education in the lives of kids and adults.
Now, as we celebrate National PE & Sport Week, we’d like to send all health and physical education teachers a “virtual high five” in honor of their work teaching life-changing skills to our nation's youth.
