Ancillary Workers Day or Cleaner's Day in El Salvador

Cleaner's Day or Ancillary Workers Day (Día del ordenanza) is a special celebration of the El Salvador calendar that takes place every May 26 and seeks to celebrate and pay tribute to all those people who are their noble work and spirit of service carry out their work in the different offices and companies.

Cleaner's Day is a special celebration; as already said, which is celebrated every May 26 throughout the Salvadoran territory. This day was born in the year of 1972 through Legislative Decree 66 that established to celebrate said date every third Sunday of the month of May.

However, in the year 1993, said decree was reformed by the president of that time, Luis Roberto Angulo Samayoa, who declared that the Ordinance Day would be celebrated in country every May 26, thus establishing a fixed date for the anniversary. The latter decreed number 579 was published on June 23, 1993 in the Official Gazette number 140.
