The National Day of Coexistence and Plurality of Political Expressions is celebrated in commemoration of the 1974 date of the message delivered by the radical leader Ricardo Balbín at the farewell of General Juan Domingo Perón, who died three days before when he was head of state.
Law 27,278 was sanctioned by the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies during 2016, and is part of the calendar of official acts and commemorations of the Nation.
The purpose of the national norm is to promote plural and equal treatment, avoiding any discrimination based on affiliation, adhesion or political orientation of people and favoring a greater participation in national politics of all citizens, in this sense the Legislator thanked the accompaniment of his peers to support the initiative and highlighted that the law has a great value within the framework of democratic spaces and debates.
