World Tourism Journalism Day

For journalists specializing in tourism, speaking and writing different languages, such as English, French, Portuguese, among others, gives them the opportunity to find new information for their trips, because they can communicate directly with the inhabitants of a city or region, and discover untold stories.

The project is based on the VIII International Congress of Tourism Journalists, where it was agreed to establish September 5 as "World Tourism Journalism Day".

This date seeks to revalue the work carried out by journalists in this specialty in making known the culture, gastronomy, customs and tourist activities of different regions and countries. In this scenario, languages become a necessary ally to reach and understand cultures closely.
