Every September 11 is remembered the work that each accountant does for the good of the economy of the company where he/she is supporting, so that the figures always come out in blue. On September 11, the day of the Public Accountant is celebrated in Peru as a tribute to the enactment of Law No. 13253 of Professionalization of the Public Accountant.
The profession of Public Accountant was instituted nationally by Law on September 11, 1959, during the government of Manuel Prado Ugarteche and was known as ''Law of Professionalization of the Public Accountant'' and provides that Public Accountants can perform and authorize all kinds of balance sheets, appraisals and appraisals of their specialty, auditing operations and accounting studies for judicial and administrative purposes and their mandatory membership in a professional association. This law was updated 47 years later by Law No. 28951.
This day was taken to celebrate every year the Public Accountant's Day, as a tribute to the daily work performed by these professionals who are part of a company or work independently.
