Psychologist's Day in Argentina

This date refers to the First National Meeting of Psychologists and Psychology Students, which was held in the city of Cordoba, Argentina, from October 11 to 13, 1974. It was convened by the Confederation of Psychologists of the Argentine Republic (Copra). This organization, the first organic manifestation of professional psychologists, had been constituted at the end of the previous year and was integrated at the beginning by representatives of the associations of psychologists of the Federal Capital, Córdoba, La Plata and San Luis and members from other parts of the country where the respective professional organizations were still in the process of being constituted. The first board of directors was presided by Elena Roberto and integrated by Delfín Gialluca, Óscar Strada, Aníbal Lentini, Edgardo Musso and Horacio Santángelo.

In 1977, Copra was dissolved and reorganized under the name of Federación de Psicólogos de la República Argentina (FePRA). Its president, Beatriz Perossio, who was also president of the Association of Psychologists of Buenos Aires (APBA).
