The National Milk Day in Bolivia is celebrated today with various activities, which was established by Law No. 577, whose main objective is to ensure the implementation of activities to promote the consumption of milk in country.
Between 2006 and 2009, the per capita consumption of milk, i.e. per person, was 28.3 liters per year; however, with the implementation of several government programs, this rate increased to 58.4 liters in 2014 and is expected to reach 63 liters until December this year.
Children, youth and adults celebrate, October 26, the National Milk Day with the expectation of increasing the consumption of this food. For this day, a campaign and a fair were organized to offer milk in its different presentations.
