9 December - World Computing Day
This is the day to honor one of the most valuable tools for organizing information. Computers are one of the most important tools created by human beings to facilitate the classification of information. New technologies are becoming more and more integrated into our lives, all thanks to the success of computers.
As has been the case since the First Meeting of Computer Professionals in 1983, World Computing Day is celebrated every December 9. Although it may seem that the choice of date is random, nothing could be further from the truth. The day was chosen because Grace Hopper was born on December 9, 1906. A pioneer in the world of computing, hence the tribute.
