Originally initiated by the International Jugglers Association (IJA), it is sometimes held on April 18 (although the date may change). As a reminder, the Saturday closest to June 17 is World Juggling Day.
By 1982, over 600 jugglers had traveled to the IJA convention. The first IJA convention or festival held outside the United States was held in Montreal, Canada in 1992. In 1978, the IJA held a mini-convention in Brighton, UK. This was the beginning of the European Jugglers Convention, which is now the largest gathering of jugglers in the world.
International Juggler's Day is celebrated every year on April 18 and celebrates the art and skill of juggling. The day was established in the 1980s by the International Jugglers Association in the United States.
History and Meaning - Origin: The exact history is not fully documented, but the day was established to celebrate the art of juggling and inspire people around the world to try their hand at this fascinating art.
