The traditional march for Memory in Argentina is framed in different slogans.
The State terrorism implemented in Argentina on March 24, 1976 was not an isolated event, but a regional strategy of dictatorships and persecutions for political reasons within the framework of the Condor Plan. Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, Chile, together with Argentina, were links in this systematic plan of illegal repression. Within the framework of the actions of this regional plan, the Pozo de Quilmes, located in the city of the same name, operated as a Clandestine Detention and Torture Center where 250 kidnapped people of various nationalities passed through, in addition to Argentines, especially from Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile.
It is an obligation of local States to develop policies that eliminate all forms of institutional violence, discrimination, segregation and denial of serious human rights violations, as well as the development of strategies to put an end to the consequences of the dictatorships that still persist today.
