In Argentina, the Day of the Journalist was established in 1938 by the First National Congress of Journalists held in Córdoba, in memory of the first media outlet with patriotic ideas. On June 7, 1810, Mariano Moreno founded the "Gazeta de Buenos Aires", the first newspaper of the Argentine independence stage. The First Board indicated its foundation by decree because it was necessary to announce to the public the official acts and the external and local news. Its first editors were Mariano Moreno, Manuel Belgrano and Juan José Castelli.
