This date is commemorated due to Joseph of Arimathea, father of Jesus of Nazareth, who according to the ancient scriptures was a carpenter and in honor of this is celebrated this ephemeris.
The Catholic Church celebrates on this date the Day of Saint Joseph, who is considered the symbol of carpentry and craftsmanship. At the same time, he is considered the custodian of the Holy Family and the patron saint of workers, due to the dedication with which he exercised his trade.
