"Come in and let's get to know each other" is the motto of the courtyard festivals in Mainzer Straße. The Quartier Mainzer Straße association always organizes a festival in the courtyards on 1 May with arts and crafts as well as food and flea market stalls, a colourful supporting programme and a public holiday. Visitors once again have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the courtyards, which are otherwise hidden behind thick walls and large gates.
The event has been taking place since 2008.
