The Waderner Maad town festival is a highlight in the region and one of the largest and best-known festivals. It offers visitors an impressive selection of musical acts as well as an entertaining play zone in the picturesque town park. A special highlight is the classical and folklore program, which delights young and old alike. The festival traditionally takes place on the second weekend in June, unless it clashes with the funfair events in the city districts or Whitsun, in which case the festival is postponed a week earlier or later.
