The Saxon Steamship Company's fleet parade is a traditional event that takes place every year on May 1st and marks the start of the new main shipping season on the Elbe.
All the ships of Weiße Flotte Sachsen GmbH / Sächsische Dampfschifffahrt line up punctually at 10:00 am. The parade starts in Dresden and travels along the Elbe.
Route: The ships sail along the three Elbe castles and pass the Loschwitz Bridge, also known as the "Blue Wonder".
Turning maneuver: After the turning maneuver at Pillnitz Castle, the boats return to Dresden's old town in formation after approx. 3.5 hours.
Live music and spectators: Accompanied by thousands of onlookers on the banks of the Elbe, the fleet parade is an unforgettable experience.
The fleet parade offers a magnificent view of the historic paddle steamers and saloon ships of the White Fleet. It is a spectacle worth seeing for visitors of all ages.
