The Brackweder Schweinemarkt is a traditional folk festival that takes place in the Brackwede district of Bielefeld, East Westphalia.
Location: The festival stretches from Treppenplatz via Treppenstraße, the parking lot "An der Brücke", the city park to the market square in Brackwede.
Opening: On Friday at 17:00, the pig market will be officially opened by the district mayor and the district governor with the traditional barrel tapping.
Program: The festival offers a varied program for young and old.
History: The pig market has existed since at least the 15th century and has a long tradition in the region.
