The Organic Field Days have been taking place for many years and have developed into an important information and communication platform for organic farming. The first event took place in Bavaria in 1994. Organic Field Days are now also held in other German states.
Presentation of varieties and cultivation techniques: Recommended and newly approved varieties are presented at the organic field days as part of the state variety trials. In addition, production technology trials on various research projects in organic farming are also shown.
Information stands: Numerous information stands from associations, advice centers, authorities and companies offer information on all aspects of organic farming.
Lectures and discussions: Current topics from the field of organic farming will be highlighted in specialist presentations and discussions.
Field tours: During guided field tours, visitors can get to know the trial areas and cultivation methods directly on site.
Demonstration of agricultural technology: Modern agricultural technology for organic farming is presented and demonstrated at the Organic Field Days.
Objective: The aim of the Organic Field Days is to promote the transfer of knowledge in organic farming and to facilitate an exchange between farmers, advisors, researchers and the public.

Coral Triangle Day on June 9 (The CTD was first held on June 10, 2012, as a regional interpretation of World Oceans Day.
