The Neuss Bürger-Schützenfest is a large public festival that unites young and old and traditionally takes place on the last weekend in August. Organized by the Neusser Bürger-Schützen-Verein, the magnificent parades attract around one million people to Neuss every year. The Neuss Bürger-Schützenfest has a long and proud history dating back to the 16th century. The highlights of the Schützenfest are the torchlight procession on Saturday and the royal parade on Sunday.
It will be colorful, loud and sociable - an event that puts the whole city in a joyful state of emergency!
