The Muswiese in Musdorf, a district of Rot am See, is one of the largest and oldest fairs in the Hohenlohe region. The event takes place every year in October and attracts around 250,000 visitors. It offers a fascinating mix of tradition and modern flair, including a varied amusement park, a comprehensive trade and agricultural exhibition and numerous market stalls.
The history of the Muswiese dates back to the 15th century. Highlights include the traditional butchers' dance, the impressive young cattle awards and various sporting competitions such as the popular Muswiesen run. The Muswiese is also known for its regional culinary specialties and the lively musical entertainment in the festival hall.
