History: The Pforzemer Mess was first held after the Second World War in 1947. Originally it was held on the “old Messplatz”, later in the Stadtgarten, and since 1960 the “new Messplatz” on Habermehlstraße has been its home.
Highlights: The event offers a variety of attractions, including fairground rides, shooting ranges and an impressive fireworks display. Nostalgic carousels and the music express are particularly popular.
Special features: The Mess is often referred to as the “fifth season” and is a meeting place for young and old. Many visitors appreciate the opportunity to meet old friends and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Culinary highlights such as langos, chocolate fruits and other treats round off the experience.
