1 May - Asian Heritage Month
May is Asian Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the rich cultural contributions made by Asian communities. Artists from Asia and of Asian descent—from all corners of Asia—are creating rich, compelling, and inspiring work in the arts. Identity is a wonderfully multifaceted concept. It changes and evolves as our knowledge and recognition of the cultures that define and speak to us grow.
Asian Heritage Month is an opportunity for all Canadians to learn more about the many achievements and contributions of Canadians of Asian descent who, throughout our history, have done so much to make Canada the amazing country we share today.
