Roman Pontiff Day
Roman Pontiff Day is held on June 29. This event in the third decade of the month June is annual. Help us
On June 29, the Solemnity of St. Peter and St. Paul, we celebrate the Day of the Pope and the collection known since the first centuries as the St. Peter's Pencebolus.
On this Pope's Day we are invited, in a special way, to meditate on the ministry of the Successor of Peter, to pray for him and to contribute with our alms and donations to his mission of evangelization and charity.
The Roman Pontiff, as the Successor of Peter, is the perpetual and visible principle and foundation of unity both of the Bishops and of the multitude of the faithful. He is Pastor of the whole Church and has full, supreme and universal power. He is the Vicar of Christ.
