Jan Amos Comenius (28 March 1592 – 15 November 1670) wrote the first illustrated textbook in history, “The World of Sensual Things in Pictures,” which was published in 1658. Performing the transformation of school affairs in Hungary, Comenius made the first attempt to create a new school with 7 years of education . Also, Amos's innovation was that study rooms, textbooks and teachers were attached to each class.
His original and fundamental work on compiling the Czech dictionary "Treasure House of the Bohemian Language", on which he worked for more than 40 years, by an absurd accident burned down in flames.
In addition to reforming the educational process, Comenius was fond of drawing and was engaged in cartography . He drew a map of Moravia, which was printed in 1627.
