Yerkrap Day in Armenia is held on May 8. State professional holiday of all members of Yerkrap, created in 1993 - the Union of Volunteers in the Republic of Armenia, established on January 6, 2001. This event in the first decade of the month May is annual.

Founded in 1993 by the late Vazgen Sargsyan the Yerkrapah has two missions. First, to keep military spirit alive in a state of non-ended war. Second, to provide a social platform for war veterans seeking to reintegrate into civilian life. The conditions in which the Union operates, however, are problematic and not in tune with the “spirit of times”.
