Student's Day is an annual date that is commemorated in several countries, although there is no exact date, as each country celebrates it on a different day. All Chilean students celebrate every May 11 since 1992, the year in which the Ministry of Education decided to make it their day. The purpose for which this date was chosen (although different in each Latin American country) is so that "students can develop debates about educational issues as well as instances of reflection and develop critical thinking about the education they receive", publishes 'Universia'.
