In 2022 Costa Rica declares "National Day of Fair Play in Sports" (Día Nacional del Juego limpio en el Deporte) The President of the Republic and the heads of the Ministries of Health, Sports, and Public Education, signed Executive Decree Nº43473 that officializes April 10 as this commemorative date.
The objective is to protect the health of athletes, exalt ethics in sports and raise awareness about the negative effects of inappropriate intake of doping substances on the body and health.
