The National Day of the Rights of Birth and Respected Childbirth (Día mundial de los Derechos de los nacimientos y el Parto Respetado), is celebrated with the aim of raising awareness and sensitizing society about the importance of birth and the essential meaning in the life of every human being.
In Venezuela since July 11, 2017, pregnant women are guaranteed the ideal conditions during gestation and birth of the baby, with the social program "National Plan for Humanized Childbirth" launched by President Nicolas Maduro with the aim of ensuring the rights of women in a healthy, happy and humane state of gestation.
It is a reminder to respect the natural process of birth, to inform mothers of the different options that exist according to their preferences, in which they have the natural right to decide where and how to carry it out, and to facilitate breastfeeding at the moment, and not to separate the mother from the baby as long as possible.
