The Episcopal Conference of Nicaragua decided that during the first week of July and within the framework of the festivities in honor of Blessed Sister María Romero, to celebrate the Catechesis Week and the Day of the Catechist, a work that is carried out by a little more than 2 thousand women and men in all the parishes of the country.
The announcement was made by Cardinal Leopoldo Brenes during a meeting with catechists from Carazo, Masaya and Managua, in a liturgical ceremony celebrated in the Concepción de María Church in the municipality of La Concha, Masaya. "The beautiful thing is that there are catechists who have been doing this work for more than 40 or 50 years", said Cardinal Brenes.
