Veterinary Doctor's Day in Chile

Every year on October 7, veterinarians in Chile take a break from their work to reflect on our profession and its importance to the economic, social and especially medical development of the country.

Being a veterinarian is an enormous challenge. Feeling love for animals is not a madness .... is a privilege that very few of us feel.

"Every day we face situations and tests that demand constant improvement and training to give the best of ourselves as professionals. Many times we sacrifice valuable time with family, friends and even time for ourselves, leaving aside our own health. Unfortunately, this is not always seen and the lack of empathy and ignorance of the correct meaning of vocation tarnish what this beautiful profession delivers to society. Because there is no other profession that demands so much and pays so little".
