Considered since the Hellenistic period within the list of the seven "Fine Arts", architecture was positioned in the first place due to its supreme importance throughout history. Every November 13, Bolivia celebrates the Day of the Architect to pay tribute to the role of these professionals.
On November 13, Bolivia celebrates the day of the architect on the occasion of the enactment of Law 1373 of the Professional Practice of the Architect in 1992. The College of Architects of Bolivia is one of the most organized institutions in Bolivia and what is today the Departmental College of Architects of La Paz, is a direct consequence of the former Association of Architects, created in 1940 and the Society of Architects Engineers created in 1948, so it is appropriate to note that its institutional history actually begins on April 25, 1940.
