Hanover's museums, galleries and art associations offer a colorful cultural program. The entire region has an attractive museum landscape to offer.
Every year, the Night of the Museums provides an insight into the wide range of museums in Hanover. The participating museums can be visited from early evening until late at night. The exhibitions are complemented by a program of readings, theater, short films and children's activities. The free culture bus shuttles between all participating museums.
The Night of the Museums starts at 6 pm and offers an exciting discovery tour through the city's numerous exhibition venues until 11:30 pm. Visitors then have the opportunity to take a closer look at exhibitions, collections and installations.
There are guided tours through special and permanent exhibitions, readings, lectures, performances, special activities for children, short films and a variety of musical performances. Catering is provided in most of the houses.
