Strawberry festival on site! Our folk festival is all about the queen of fruits. This weekend it's time again - Gonsenheim celebrates the Strawberry Festival!
With around 25,100 inhabitants (main residence), Gonsenheim is the second largest district of the state capital after Neustadt in terms of population.
Gonsenheim celebrates its strawberry festival again from Friday. Until Sunday, there will be music, performances by clubs and schools as well as food and drink in the Pfarrer-Grimm-Anlage and on Josef-Ludwig-Platz. There will also be an open Sunday on Breite Straße.
On that Sunday, the strawberry majesties from the surrounding communities will lead the parade from Josef-Ludwig-Platz to the Pfarrer-Grimm-Anlage. At the same time, the traditional Erdbeerkerb will take place on Juxplatz.
