Would you like to experience the joy of reading aloud more than just once a year? Since 2004, the National Reading Aloud Day has been Germany's largest reading aloud festival, a joint initiative of DIE ZEIT, Stiftung Lesen and Deutsche Bahn Stiftung, and a public signal to get children and adults excited about the importance of reading aloud every year on the third Friday in November.
It increases the ability to concentrate, increases vocabulary, promotes creativity and expands the imagination. Children who have been read to regularly also find it easier to read and write at school.
It is wonderful to see that on this day, people are reading aloud everywhere and in the most diverse places.
