Kirkel Medieval Market

Particularly noteworthy is the medieval market at Kirkel Castle on a weekend in May, which attracts over 10,000 visitors every year. The annual tradition began in the early 2000s.

Medieval music, dancing, juggling, falconers, craftsmen, knights' camps, food and drink as well as a wide range of different market traders from near and far transform the Kirkel-Neuhäusel natural outdoor pool into a large and colorful festival area on this weekend.

Visitors can fortify themselves with freshly prepared delicacies from the medieval kitchen in the craftsmen's village.
