Once a year, always on the second Sunday in September, the "Open Monument Day" takes visitors on a discovery tour to a wide variety of places with history and stories. Erfurt starts five days earlier with its Erfurt Monument Days. The idea behind this is to give monuments and historical buildings a voice and to get people interested in the cultural landscape steeped in history.
The Erfurt Monument Days are an annual event that focuses on historical monuments and buildings in Erfurt.
Program: There are over 60 participating monuments and more than 100 guided tours that take visitors on a discovery tour through the historic cultural landscape.
