The Frühjahrsdult is a traditional folk festival in the Lower Bavarian town of Landshut. It usually begins two weeks after Good Friday and lasts ten days. Alongside the Bartlmädult, the Frühjahrsdult is one of Landshut's two folk festivals. The event comprises a funfair and a sales fair.
Origins and history: The Frühjahrsdult has existed since the 14th century and is probably connected with the consecration of the Dominican church in 1386. At that time, the festival was also known as the Bruderkirchweihdult. Compared to the Bartlmädult, however, less is known about its origins.
Attractions: As with most folk festivals, there are rides, stalls, music and entertainment at the Frühjahrsdult. Visitors can look forward to a wide range of attractions.
Tradition and culture: The Frühjahrsdult is an important part of the Landshut tradition and attracts numerous visitors every year.
