International Dot Day

International Dot Day has been celebrated since 2009. The history of the holiday is associated with the book "The Dot" by English writer and artist Peter G. Reynolds, written by him in 2003. The main character of this book is a girl named Vashti. To prove her inability to draw, she poked her pencil into the paper. However, the resulting little dots and the teacher's help were the beginning of surprises and discoveries. In the real world, teachers also began to use this story to discover creativity and confidence among their students. One of the first teachers was Terry Shai, who gave birth to this international holiday.
