Military financier Day in Ukraine

On October 29, military financiers celebrated their professional holiday - the Day of the Military Financier. This holiday was started in 1999 by order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine. Its main goal is to increase the authority of military personnel who serve in financial and economic bodies, as well as to strengthen the prestige of the financial service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in general. The date was not chosen by chance: 8 years before, in 1991, on this day, the Financial Department of the Main Defense Department of Ukraine was established.

The main task of the financial service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is to guarantee timely payments of financial support and monetary rewards to military personnel, as well as targeted and effective use of funds allocated for the defense of the state.
