August Restaurant Day is held on August 15. It is occurs once per season. The third Saturday of February, May, August, and November. This event in the second decade of the month August is annual.

The first sandwich was made on August 6, 1762, when the Earl of Sandwich asked for a dish with meat between two pieces of bread. In the original Roman calendar, August was first called Sextilis, Latin for the sixth month.
The very first restaurant in the world was opened in Paris in 1765. A tavern keeper, Monsieur Boulanger, served a single dish -- sheep's feet simmered in a white sauce.
"Special" is often (but not necessarily exclusively) used for something that is discounted (a restaurant may realize some efficiency gains by making a whole bunch of the same thing repeatedly and pass the savings on to the customer, vs. lots of different orders).
