National Pecan Torte Day and National “Eat a Peach” Day in USA

Eggs, sugar, bread crumbs, vanilla, and of course pecans are all it takes to make a pecan torte, a tasty, rich, decadent and moist pecan-based flourless cake. National Pecan Torte Day is celebrated on August 22 annually, and it is as delicious as it sounds. Pecan Tortes are particularly common in the southern region of the USA in part because pecans are the state tree of Texas, commonly known as the lone-star state.

Peaches are a symbol of immortality and friendship. Peaches are related to almonds. There are hundreds of varieties of peaches, but they are mainly sold based on their flesh color of yellow or white. Georgia is known as the peach state, but California grows the most peaches in the US.
