It is a day that commemorates the activity and work carried out every day by geologists around the world. On July 31, 1947, the Argentine Center of Geologists was established, which brought together professionals in different specialties. From that moment it became the body that represents and defends professional practice. On June 9, 1948, the Geologist's Day was instituted.
