It takes science to grow mushrooms. The lifecycle of a mushroom is very unique. They're more like us than plants. Fungi breath oxygen and exhale co2. They can glow in the dark.
Mushrooms produce Vitamin D when exposed to ultraviolet light, but they don't need light to grow. Mushrooms spores can survive the vacuum and radiation of space.
