A celebration of those who make a world of difference.
Volunteering brings people together; it builds communities and creates a better society for everyone. National Volunteer Week (NVW) is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering.
Volunteering touches every section of Australian society including, but not limited to education, emergency services, sport and recreation, arts and heritage as well as the social services. The far-reaching contribution volunteering makes builds strong and resilient Australian communities.
The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare conducted a survey to find out how many Australians volunteer each year. They discovered that nearly one in three Australians over the age of 15 participate in volunteering.
